Vaisala

Vaisala’s measurement solutions have an impact where it truly matters – enabling climate action and solving some of the biggest challenges of our time.

We are a global leader in weather, environment, and industrial measurements. For example, our products and solutions are used in Mona Lisa’s glass cabinet in Louvre, in the product development, production and transportation processes of the biggest medicine manufacturers in the world, and in most airports around the globe. Also, a couple of Mars-rovers are equipped with our sensors.

Sensors make the difference

Sensors, the tiny chips based often on semiconductors, are the heart of many of our measurement products as they measure, for example, humidity, pressure, carbon dioxide, wind speed, and rain. At Vaisala’s R&D, we cover the whole process, from early scientific research to product development to production. We also manufacture the sensors by ourselves in our cleanrooms in our HQ in Vantaa.

Team of 2200+ experts and 59 nationalities

Our 2200+ experts around the world are working to help our customers – in almost every country of the world – to predict, understand and mitigate climate change. We have in total 59 nationalities in the company and offices in 17 countries.

Close to 30% of our staff is working in research and development, and we invest around 15% of our net sales in R&D yearly. Our products are designed to provide extremely accurate measurement results in extreme conditions, setting the bar high for our R&D and production. These things together provide an extraordinary environment for bright minds interested in doing good with technology.
